Know Before You Go

Thing to Bring

Here are some things that every camper needs to bring.

  • Bedding (sleeping bag or sheets and blanket)
  • Toiletries (tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, shampoo, deodorant! etc.)
  • Clothes (see the clothing list below)
  • Towels (shower and swimming pool)
  • Protection from the elements (sunscreen, insect repellant, sun glasses, whatever)
  • Bible (This is Bible Camp after all.)
  • Hat or cap
  • Water bottle
  • Medications (All meds must be turned in to the camp medical staff for dispensing.)

Here are some things any camper might want to bring

  • Camera (but not in a phone)
  • Notebook, pens, pencils
  • Stationary
  • Postage stamps
  • Flashlight (not their phone)
  • Flip-flops or other sandals (in addition to regular shoes)

Clothing needed

  • Comfortable clothes for play
  • Extra clothes for play
  • Clothes that can/will get wet and muddy
  • Closed-toe shoes (e.g. gym shoes)
  • Extra shoes that will get wet and muddy!
  • Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for any activities in the forrest.
  • Modest (one piece) swim suit
  • Underwear
  • Extra of any of the above

Please note the Camp Manitoumi dress code. We rent this facility and must honor their requirements.

"All clothing should honor God. If you think that it might be too low-cut, high-cut, see-through, cling-to, or questionable, don't bring it. Spaghetti straps, bare stomachs, questionable advertisements, and words across your backside are inappropriate. Shorts and skirts should be approaching the knee length. All swimming suits must be modest and one piece. Please be aware, a tankini is not considered a one piece suit."


Do not bring these:

  • Any electronic equipment (cell phone, game system, mp3 player, etc.)
  • Alcohol, tobacco, firearms 
  • Weaponsof any sort
  • Fireworks, explosives, anvils, giant slingshots
  • Illegal or recreational drugs
  • Anything that common sense would dictate leaving at home
